About Sophie
What we don't acknowledge we can't change.
It's all about connecting the dots. As a psychotherapist I unearth the hidden roots that anchor your present struggles.
Unspoken pain, buried traumas, and suppressed emotions quietly shape our lives from the shadows, influencing our behaviours, choices and relationships without us even realising it. When we deny or avoid these parts of ourselves, they gain power, manifesting as anxiety, depression, or destructive patterns.
Acknowledgment is the first step - when we bring the unconscious into the light, we can begin to untangle the knots that hold us back. By naming and facing our deepest fears and inner struggles, we transform them from hidden forces into opportunities of growth, healing, and conscious change.
In therapy, the power of acknowledgment is profound.
Often, clients spend years running from their pain, avoiding uncomfortable truths, or clinging to old narratives that no longer serve them. But what we avoid persists. Only by bravely turning inward and acknowledging the parts of ourselves we fear - our vulnerabilities, mistakes, and longings - can we begin the process of true change.
Psychotherapy provides the space to explore these hidden aspects without judgement, creating a foundation for self-awareness. From this place of acknowledgment, you gain the strength to break free from the patterns that have defined you, allowing for transformation and the chance to write a new story.
