I don’t feel like 2026 begins in January.
January feels more like a threshold. A pause. A gathering-in.
We’re still in the year of the Snake, and there’s a reason this month feels coiled rather than charged. Things are unwinding slowly. Old chapters closing without drama. There’s a tiredness around right now that many people are carrying – not just personal, but collective. Long grief cycles finishing. Years of holding, enduring, adapting.
That kind of tired doesn’t mean something is wrong.
It means something has completed.
January is an incubation period. We’re not meant to rush forward yet. We’re shedding, digesting, and preparing – even if we can’t yet name what for.
February is where the shift comes.
The Fire Horse arrives, and the pace changes quickly. Momentum builds. What’s been stuck starts to move. You know soon what’s a yes and what’s not. Life asks for action rather than endless contemplation. There’s less tolerance for hesitation and far less interest in dragging things out.
Once the horse kicks off, it doesn’t stop to over-explain. It moves – and expects you to move with it.
But this year isn’t asking us to think harder or analyse ourselves more.
2026 is an embodiment year.
Less living in your head.
Less labels. Less diagnosis. Anyone who works with me knows that’s not how I see people!
And of course a lot less explaining yourself to death.
More paying attention to how you actually want your life to look and feel.
This year also marks the beginning of a brand-new nine-year cycle. Not a continuation of the old story – a clean creation.
And that means fully letting go of what you’ve been holding onto simply because you always have. If you don’t, life gets harder.
Old identities.
Old obligations.
Old ways of staying connected that no longer feel true.
Much of it doesn’t matter anymore – and that can feel unsettling at first.
2026 is a comeback year, but not in a performative way. It’s earned. Quietly solid. There’s a sense of internal authority returning. Less asking. More choosing.
This year will ask you to be discerning about people.
We all have friends of the road and friends of the heart. The difference becomes clearer now. Pay attention to who leaves your life and who enters.
Not everyone is meant to come with you into this next cycle, and not every connection is meant to deepen.
But the connections that remain need depth.
Surface conversations feel empty.
Performative niceness feels exhausting.
There’s less tolerance for hesitation and far less interest in dragging things out.
You can read the agenda, and you don’t bend around it anymore.
Staying silent to keep the peace starts to cost too much.
This is a year for saying what you mean – and meaning it.
Stepping away from group thinking when it doesn’t align with your truth.
Choosing honesty over belonging, even when that feels uncomfortable.
There’s also something very practical being asked of us.
Prioritise your sleep.
Listen to your body.
Pay attention to nature and the rhythms around you.
This early part of the year is for planning, not pushing. For noticing what needs care before growth really takes off.
And maybe most importantly, this year asks for a deeper relationship with yourself.
How well do you really know yourself now – not who you were five or ten years ago?
How comfortable are you spending time alone without distraction?
What parts of you are ready to be lived, not talked about?
It needs presence.
It needs honesty.
It needs you in your life – not observing it from the sidelines.
That’s what really matters most this year.
And everything else will reorganise around that.
I’m looking forward to supporting you to remember who you really are and find your own rhythm in life.
I’m stepping into 2026 with new work projects, more time in the garden, deeper connections, and greater synchronicity with nature.
